Showdolls Crowned Champs

The Showdoll dance team from New Smyrna Beach High School competed at the American National Dance Championships held at the Orange County Convention Center March 13-14. They won 1st place in high kick division and 2nd place in pom pom division. In addition to these awards they won the Judges Choice Award for best technical dance team.

At the final awards ceremony the team was honored as the Grand National Champions. This award is given to the dance team which receives the highest overall score at the competition. This is the Showdolls 11th National title. They have won eight prop titles and three high kick titles. This was the team's first Grand National Champion title.
